Syringa Squares held their first club dance fifty years ago, on Friday, January7, 1972. Neil Perterson was the caller for 29 years until his retirement on May 18, 2001. They danced at the Holcomb Grange on East Boise Avenue until the Square Dance Center opened. Dances were held every, first, third, and fifth Friday of the month.

Bosco Bosler has been the caller since September of 2001. Zina Robertson Rapp is the cuer. The Club still has several of the original charter members.
